The NY Jets got back to their winning ways against the Buffalo Bills of all teams. The Jets showed that they are for real against one of, if not the best, teams in the NFL. Let’s take a look at some of the best and worst players from this week’s game.

NY Jets defense - STUD

The entire defense stepped up and held the powerhouse Buffalo Bills to their lowest point total of the season. They forced Josh Allen to have his worst game of the season, throwing two interceptions on the day.

The pass rush from Quinnen Williams and Bryce Huff caused problems for the Bills' offense, especially at the end of the game with the game on the line. Huff was the second highest-graded Jets player by Pro Football Focus with a 92.0 grade.

Sauce Gardner made the game-winning play with great coverage on an absurd pass from Josh Allen that otherwise would have been a huge completion. Gardner and D.J. Reed have a legitimate case that they are the best cornerback duo in the league.

NY Jets running game - STUD

Even without Breece Hall, the Jets' running game carried the offense. Michael Carter and James Robinson both produced, and the makeshift offensive line played great against a really good Buffalo defense.

The Jets rushed for 174 yards total, with 76 of them coming from Michael Carter, who also scored a touchdown. The Jets ran down the field to score the game-winning field goal with Zach Wilson only throwing the ball once.

Michael Carter was the third highest graded Jets player by PFF with a 90.4 grade.

Garrett Wilson, WR, NY Jets - STUD

Garrett Wilson is starting to get into a groove in the Jets' offense. Wilson has been getting better each week and had eight catches for 92 yards in this game.

The Jets have been a run-dominant team this year, and Wilson still leads rookies in catches with 42 and is second among rookies in yards with 521.

Zach Wilson, QB, NY Jets - DUD

Let me preface this by saying Zach Wilson was much better than last week, but overall, the Jets played well, and Wilson almost had a few costly mistakes. However, Wilson played well within the offense and was able to do enough to get the Jets the win.

There were still some struggles; he missed a few open receivers and fumbled in the red zone after the SkyCam debacle when the Jets had a chance to take the lead.

Wilson played well, but he is still not the guy the Jets took second overall yet, and that's okay for now.

NY Jets injuries - DUD

Injuries are starting to really pile up for the Jets. They have a lot of talent on injured reserve at the moment and had multiple scares in this game. Sheldon Rankins, who was really starting to play well in the defensive line rotation, is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, but it seems like everyone else made it out okay.

The Jets are having a great season; now they just have to limit the injuries, and maybe they can get some reinforcements on the other end of the bye week.

Overall

Nobody expected the Jets to beat the Bills, but they went out and did it. For a young team, that is the biggest takeaway from this game. The defense and running game look to be massive strengths, and if Zach Wilson can keep improving, the Jets might end their playoff drought.

The Jets will look to get revenge against the New England Patriots in Week 11.
