Training camp season is upon us in the NFL. This time of year is always exciting for fans of every team, this year, particularly for the NY Jets, who have more new impact players than you can count.

The Jets brought in seven new players in the 2022 NFL Draft, many of whom they hope will be key pieces to a team that looks poised to take a big step forward this season. In this article, I am going to project which rookies will have the biggest impact on the team in 2022.

Let's get started.

7. Max Mitchell, OT, NY Jets

At No. 7, we have offensive tackle Max Mitchell. The Jets selected Mitchell in the fourth round of this year's draft with the 111th overall pick.

Though the Louisiana product has the potential to be a solid starter down the line, he will most likely be relegated to a backup role in 2022 and likely won't see much playing time, barring an injury to George Fant or Mekhi Becton.

6. Jeremy Ruckert, TE, NY Jets

No. 6 on my list is Long Island native and childhood Jets fan Jeremy Ruckert, the tight end out of Ohio State. Ruckert was picked in the third round of the draft at pick 101.

Ruckert is a great blocker who was underutilized as a pass catcher at Ohio State. Though he is talented and has the potential to be a quality starter in the league, he is currently buried on the depth chart as TE3 behind C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin.

I could definitely see Ruckert working his way up the ranks as the season goes along, but as of immediate impact, my expectations aren't high for this season.
