NY Jets rookie stock report following Week 2 win over the Browns
Stock up: Breece Hall, RB, NY Jets ($BREECE)
- 7 rushes for 50 yards, 1 catch for 10 yards and a touchdown, 27% snap count
Garrett Wilson wasn't the only Jets rookie to find the end zone this weekend as fellow 2022 draft pick Breece Hall scored his first touchdown in green and white against Cleveland.
Hall dominated on limited touches throughout the game in Week 2. His low snap count is a bit suspicious considering he averaged over 7.0 yards per carry and scored a touchdown on his only target in the game.
Michael Carter is still doing a great job as the Jets' 1A running back, but Hall offered a glimpse of his home-run ability this week with a 23-yard burst as well as another long run that got called back by a questionable holding penalty.
Similar to how the fans and media were calling for more playing time for Garrett Wilson before Week 2, the same will likely be done for Hall to see the field more as time goes on.
With Hall and Carter both able to catch the ball effectively, offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur could keep both playmakers on the field together to mix things up. Hall will surely be trending up with the more touches he gets in an offense that wants to establish the run early and often.
