As the NY Jets prepare for the preseason, some unfortunate news has come out of Thursday's training camp. Wide receiver Elijah Moore, unfortunately, suffered a quad injury that he'll be undergoing tests for to get a full evaluation to see the extent of it.
Confirmed by Danny Abriano of Yahoo! Sports, Moore went down to injury during reps in training camp as to which head coach Robert Saleh took him out early and sent him to the locker room for examination. Hopefully, it's nothing serious and won't affect Moore when it comes to the start of the regular season.
Considering that this injury happened on Thursday, it's more than likely that Moore won't be playing in the preseason opener between the Jets and NY Giants on Saturday. Even if he's medically cleared, the Jets would be wise to sit him out and then take a look at how Moore looks the following week.

The Jets are hoping to bounce back in 2021 as 2020 will be a year fans will definitely want to forget. Moore is a big part of their plans going into the regular season to have a year of redemption. Thanks to his speed and ability to make big plays once the football is in his hands, here's to hoping Moore won't miss too much training camp time or preseason action.
Moore was the 2nd Round draft pick of the Jets as he made a big name for himself at Ole Miss. In his collegiate career, Moore totaled 189 receptions, 2,441 receiving yards, and 16 touchdowns. The Jets are hoping he adds a nice dimension to their wide receiver corps thanks to everything he brings to the table.
