The most successful NFL teams build their organizational foundation through the draft, and the NY Jets are no exception to that. While the franchise has endured its fair share of draft blunders, the current iteration of the Jets' roster is built on draft success stories.

The 2022 NFL Draft yielded the Jets numerous franchise cornerstones such as Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Jermaine Johnson, and Breece Hall. Other standouts like Quinnen Williams and Alijah Vera-Tucker were also acquired via the draft.

But for every draft-day success, the Jets have had plenty of misses. From Zach Wilson to Mekhi Becton, the Jets haven't always nailed their draft picks in recent years. In fact, there have probably been more misses than hits over the last few decades.

The Jets will have an opportunity to buck that trend and follow in the footsteps of their outstanding 2022 NFL Draft class in the coming years. Here is a look at the Jets' future draft picks:

NY Jets 2024 draft picks

The Jets possess their own first, third, fourth, and sixth-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. They lost their 2024 second-round pick in the Aaron Rodgers trade and could've lost their first-round pick had Rodgers played 65 percent of the team's offensive snaps last season.

The Jets also own two fourth-round picks as a result of the Jacob Martin trade from 2022. That trade sent Martin and a 2024 fifth-round pick to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick. As a result, the Jets don't currently have a draft selection in the fifth round.

That fourth-round pick acquired from Denver was actually shipped to the Baltimore Ravens in a swap of fourth-round picks as part of the Morgan Moses trade. The team's second fourth-round pick is now at the end of the round.

The team also doesn't have a current pick in the seventh round as a result of the Chuck Clark trade from last season. The Jets sent a 2024 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for Clark, who suffered a torn ACL before the season.

The Jets also received three compensatory picks in this year's draft (one of which was traded in the Moses deal), including the final two selections. Yes, this means the Jets will have the Mr. Irrelevant pick.

The Jets shipped their seventh-round pick in 2025 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Mecole Hardman trade, acquiring a 2025 sixth-round pick in the process. Expect more changes to the team's 2025 draft picks in the future.
