32. Sam Darnold (Carolina Panthers)

• Cumulative ranking: 30.67
• Highest ranking: 29
• Lowest ranking: 32

Sam Darnold was a pretty unanimous selection for No. 32 on our list. Of the six voters, four of them ranked him either 31st or 32nd in the NFL and no one ranked him higher than 29th.

It was a difficult year for Darnold in his first season in Carolina. The former Jets QB finished with just nine touchdowns compared to 13 interceptions and was benched at a point for a returning Cam Newton.

There's still a chance Darnold could be the Week 1 starter for the Panthers seeing as he's under contract for next year, but it's safe to say his team is regretting both trading for him and picking up his fifth-year option.

It's no surprise to see Darnold land so low on this list.

31. Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars)

• Cumulative ranking: 29.17
• Highest ranking: 24
• Lowest ranking: 32

A lone ranking of 24th from one of the voters saved Trevor Lawrence from perhaps being dead last on this list. The only QB to receive multiple last place votes, Lawrence was simply not good in 2021.

The first overall pick got off to a typical starter only to hit a wall midway through his rookie season. Lawrence managed just one touchdown from Weeks 9-16 as compared to five interceptions.

The former Clemson star showed promise late in the year actually leading his team to victory with a career-best performance against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 18.

Another year of development surrounded by a hopefully more competent coaching staff and supporting cast could do him wonders. But for now, he's comfortably one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the league.
