The NY Jets are struggling mightily, and former quarterback Joe Namath isn't happy. Namath is calling out Zach Wilson and the Jets' coaching staff for the team's offensive struggles.
Namath tweeted out his displeasure with Wilson and the Jets' offensive coaches, seemingly blaming Wilson's coaches for his struggles to this point. It's hard to blame him to some degree.
Wilson and the Jets currently trail 10-3 at the half to their arch-rival Patriots, and their offense has been a major concern. Zach Wilson is 5-of-10 at the half for a total of 29 yards. The Jets' offense has run 27 plays and they have 39 yards.
Namath isn't the only one criticizing Wilson and the Jets' offense. Jets fans at MetLife Stadium nearly booed Wilson off the field in the first half. It's bad out here folks.
Zach Wilson and the NY Jets offense are struggling
The Jets entered their Week 3 matchup against New England looking to end their 14-game losing streak against their division rivals. Right now, it's not looking great.
While the Jets' defense has undoubtedly done its part, the Jets' offense can't get anything going. Yes, the weather is bad. Yes, the offensive line has had its issues. But it's hard not to point fingers at Wilson and the Jets' offensive coaches.
The Jets will hope to see a bounce-back performance from Wilson and the offense in the second half, but if history is anything to go on, we might be in for some more ugly football soon.
