2020, 11th overall: Mekhi Becton, OT, NY Jets

Grade: C-

Mekhi Becton became the first offensive lineman the Jets selected in the first round since 2006 when they selected both D'Brickishaw Ferguson and Nick Mangold.

Becton, the monstrous 6-foot-7, 373-pounder from Louisville, is one of the toughest players to accurately assess on the list. Injuries have derailed what appeared to be a promising start to his career following an impressive rookie season.

When he has played, he has been a wrecking ball upfront, mauling smaller defensive ends and linebackers and sandwiching interior linemen to the ground.

He is yet to get called for a holding penalty in his career and protected the blindside of Sam Darnold at an above-average level for the 2020 season.

However, since his 2020 rookie campaign, Becton has now only played in one football game in two years. He has only been on the field for 48 snaps in those two seasons, suffering from knee injuries in both years.

If Becton can regain his rookie form, he can rapidly increase his grade. However, when someone is chosen at a premium pick and at a premium position and cannot get or stay on the field for much of their early careers, they simply cannot earn anything higher than the C- given out above.
