The NY Jets should be in the market for wide receiver help this offseason, and if you ask Garrett Wilson, he already has one specific name in mind for his team to target.

Star Washington wide receiver and projected first-round pick, Rome Odunze, officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft this past weekend with a heartfelt goodbye message on Instagram.

Wilson took the opportunity to send out a brief recruiting pitch to his fellow wide receiver, commenting on the post with a simple "J-e-t-s" reply.

The Jets are expected to upgrade their wide receiver room this offseason, and while many expect the team to target the position in free agency or via the trade market, the draft is another avenue the Jets could explore. Odunze could be one of their top targets on draft day.

Garrett Wilson and Rome Odunze would be a lethal wide receiver duo for the NY Jets

Wilson is fresh off his second consecutive 1,000-yard season to begin his NFL career. He finished the 2023 season with a career-high 95 catches for 1,042 yards and three touchdowns.

But while Wilson has established himself as a true star wide receiver, the rest of the team's receiving corps leaves much to be desired. Every other wide receiver on the Jets' roster combined for just 654 yards in 2023.

It's clear that the Jets need to do everything they can to add additional playmakers around Wilson this offseason, and drafting Odunze would do just that.

The 2023 Consensus All-American led the Pac-12 in receiving this past season with 81 catches for 1,428 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was a large reason why Washington was able to make it to the National Championship Game this year.

At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Odunze is widely seen as one of the top prospects at any position in this year's draft. Most mock drafts project him as a top-15 pick, with many projecting him in the top 10.

The Jets could look to target one of the top offensive tackle prospects in this year's draft, but if the value isn't there or the team addresses the position in free agency, Odunze makes a ton of sense for the team.

Garrett Wilson wants another star playmaker on the Jets' offense. He wants another wide receiver who can help alleviate the attention he faces on a weekly basis. Rome Odunze could be the solution.
