4. NY Jets

The Jets remain in last place in the AFC East and last place in our power rankings. There was a time when it seemed like it might be a two-team race to the bottom between the Jets and Miami Dolphins.

That was until Miami rattled off four straight wins and surged to 5-7. All of a sudden, they're in the playoff hunt. The Jets, on the other hand, are staring more at draft position than they are the playoff picture.

Nonetheless, the Jets did win on Sunday. They managed to pull off a 21-14 victory over the Texans despite a very poor day from Zach Wilson. The rest of the team uplifted their quarterback and helped lead them to victory.

At 3-8, the Jets are still a bad football team. But if they can play as well as they did this past weekend, they're not going to be an easy team to knock off late in the season.

They could pose an upset threat and play spoiler against some of their better opponents. That's not to ignore winnable games against teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints on tap.

This Jets team can win some games down the stretch. But even if they do, I wouldn't expect them to climb much in these power rankings.

At least, not until next year.
