Aaron Rodgers has never been one to shy away from making headlines. From his various off-field comments to his pursuits away from the gridiron, the NY Jets quarterback always seems to have a knack for the spotlight.

That was the case once again on Tuesday when Rodgers and the rest of the Jets' roster reported to training camp. The Jets were happy to see Rodgers back in the building after the four-time MVP missed mandatory minicamp in June due to a pre-planned trip to Egypt.

Much has been made of Rodgers' decision to forego minicamp over the last month or so, with countless media outlets bashing the future Hall of Famer for his decision. On Tuesday, Rodgers decided to have a little fun with the backlash.

Rodgers pulled up to Jets training camp in Florham Park wearing an Egypt-themed t-shirt depicting the Egyptian goddess Bastet, a black cat that is often referred to as the goddess of protection against contagious diseases and evil spirits.

Yes, not only is this an obvious nod to Rodgers' Egypt vacation, but it could also be seen as a reference to his infamous vaccination stance. It's a double troll.

Aaron Rodgers wants protection from the 'evil spirits' with NY Jets in 2024

This isn't the first time that Rodgers, a notable troll throughout his career, has shown up to training camp with a short poking fun at the media. Rodgers famously donned a shirt from The Office ahead of Packers training camp in 2021 following rumors of his discontent in the offseason.

Rodgers has been adamant that his absence from minicamp last month is not a cause for concern, and the Jets organization and his teammates seem to be on the same page. That didn't stop his minicamp absence from dominating Jets headlines over the last few weeks.

Rodgers might be hoping that his Egyptian shirt can protect him from the "evil spirits" on the football field this season. The 40-year-old QB tore his Achilles just four plays into his first game with the Jets in 2023.

Now healthy again, Rodgers hopes to pick up where he left off prior to his injury and prove that the offseason hype is real regarding the organization. A healthy training camp would go a long way toward re-establishing faith in his status ahead of Week 1.

Aaron Rodgers and the Jets have arrived for training camp. The team's quarterback just had to add a little bit of personal flair in typical Rodgers fashion.
