The NY Jets limped their way to an ugly, embarrassing 10-9 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 4, both figuratively and literally. As the Jets left the sloppy MetLife Stadium field on Sunday, starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers did so with a noticeable limp.

Rodgers and the Jets offense struggled mightily, mustering just nine points and 248 yards due in part to the rainy weather. But that doesn't absolve the blame Rodgers, the offensive line, and the coaching staff deserve. The Jets' offense was putrid.

Rodgers was sacked five times and hit a whopping 14 times in Sunday's game. That's why it shouldn't come as a surprise that the four-time MVP was limping on the field and going into the locker room.

The only saving grace coming out of Sunday's disappointing loss is that Rodgers' injuries don't appear to be serious. He's banged up, but he should be fine.

Aaron Rodgers injury update

Rodgers told reporters after the game that he's "banged up a little bit" and dealing with things "in both legs," suggesting he was headed to the hot tub after his scheduled media session. He didn't seem to be concerned with his status moving forward.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh echoed a similar sentiment when speaking to reporters after the game. Saleh insisted that Rodgers was "fine" and that he was simply dealing with "a little wear and tear from the football game."

Rodgers appeared to injure his leg in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game, holding the back of his left hamstring after his leg was rolled up by a Broncos defender.

Jets fans were understandably concerned about Rodgers' status, given his recent injury history. The future Hall of Famer has played just four games since suffering a torn Achilles in the Week 1 opener of 2023.

Rodgers returned to the game after trainers worked on his leg on the sideline and didn't miss a play. Still, the 40-year-old QB was in noticeable discomfort toward the end of the game.

Given Saleh and the Jets' track record with reporting injuries it's fair to have some concern, but all signs point to Rodgers being okay following Week 4. His status is worth monitoring as the week progresses.
