Aaron Rodgers electrifies NY Jets fans with thrilling return to MetLife Stadium
By Justin Fried
Aaron Rodgers is back, and NY Jets fans can't get enough. The four-time MVP made his triumphant return to MetLife Stadium on Thursday night, a little under a year since he last took the field in East Rutherford.
Rodgers entered the stadium to a raucous crowd as Thunderstruck by AC/DC blared over the MetLife speakers. It's hard to explain the atmosphere in the stadium as the Jets take on the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
Just take it from SNY's Connor Hughes, who insists it's "as insane" as he's ever seen a Jets game at the stadium. The atmosphere is electric and Jets fans are losing their minds for their new (kind of) quarterback.
Just how incredible is the atmosphere? Take a look at this video of the stadium.
Aaron Rodgers returns to MetLife Stadium as NY Jets fans erupt with excitement
Rodgers is hoping to secure his first (technically second) home win as a member of the Jets. While his team technically won in Week 1 of the 2023 season, Rodgers infamously only lasted four plays. He has an opportunity to pick up his first true win tonight.
They face a Patriots team that has defeated them in 15 of their last 16 outings. The Jets haven't beaten the Patriots at home since the 2015 season, the famous Eric Decker overtime winner.
Tonight is an opportunity to exercise those demons. It's an opportunity for Rodgers and the Jets to prove that they are legitimate contenders in a loaded AFC. It's an opportunity to change the narrative.
Aaron Rodgers is officially back, and NY Jets fans can hardly contain their excitement.
