2. NY Jets target: Larry Ogunjobi, DT

The Jets remain connected to two high-profile free agents as we enter the month of June. One of which is veteran defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi.

Ogunjobi originally agreed to a massive three-year, $40.5 million contract with the Chicago Bears back in March before a failed physical caused the deal to fall through. Nearly three months later, Ogunjobi remains unsigned.

The Jets have reportedly shown interest in the former Browns and Bengals defensive tackle, something that shouldn't come as a surprise given their lack of depth at the position.

Ogunjobi could theoretically replace Sheldon Rankins if signed, either in the starting lineup or on the roster entirely. He's someone to keep an eye on.

1. NY Jets target: Kwon Alexander, LB

The other free agent the Jets remain connected to is veteran linebacker Kwon Alexander. Much like Wright, Alexander also has history with Jets head coach Robert Saleh dating back to their time together in San Francisco.

The Jets remain interested in the former Pro Bowl linebacker, at least per a recent report from Brian Costello of the New York Post. He fits the profile of what the Jets look for in their linebackers.

Alexander is fast, rangy, and a little undersized — in other words, a perfect linebacker for the Jets' defensive system. They do need to be wary of his extensive injury history, however.

Alexander has played more than 12 games in a season just once in his seven-year career. The Jets are clearly exploring linebacker upgrades, and Alexander seems like their preferred target.
