4. Vinny Curry, DE

Jets head coach Robert Saleh is never satisfied with his team's defensive line depth. That much has been made abundantly clear during Saleh's time with the organization and previously with the San Francisco 49ers.

That's why it's impossible to rule out someone like Vinny Curry returning in the future. Curry missed all of the 2021 season but returned in 2022 and filled a rotational role in the Jets' defensive line rotation.

The Jets are six-deep at defensive end, but if injuries begin to pile up (or if someone like Bryce Huff is traded), Curry could be a viable depth piece. The 35-year-old did play 25 percent of the Jets' defensive snaps last season.

It wouldn't be wise to expect any significant contributions from Curry at this stage, but if the Jets need an experienced body, his history with Joe Douglas and this defensive staff could land him a job.

3. Myles Jack, LB

Another former star linebacker who remains a free agent is Myles Jack. And much like Deion Jones, Jack also has direct ties to the Jets' coaching staff.

Jack spent his rookie season under then-Jacksonville Jaguars linebackers coach Robert Saleh. He also crossed paths with both Nathaniel Hackett and Jets tight ends coach Ron Middleton during his time in Jacksonville.

Jack is a bit younger than Jones (he turns 28 in September) and was still a key member of the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense last season. The former UCLA star played 71 percent of his team's defensive snaps last season as a full-time starting linebacker.

Much like Jones, Jack isn't the player he used to be, but he still has the speed and athleticism to fill that weak-side linebacker role in Saleh's defense. His history with Saleh only serves as a bonus.
