The NY Jets have been busy this offseason, transforming their roster with a host of high-profile additions throughout free agency.

From a revamped offensive line to the signing of one big-time playmaker, general manager Joe Douglas has done his part to ensure this Jets team is seen as a legitimate Super Bowl contender entering the 2024 season.

It's not just external moves that have solidified this Jets roster, however. The Jets have also managed to retain a few of their own players, and it's possible more re-signings could be on the way in the future.

Here is a look at all seven players the Jets have re-signed at the time of writing. Don't be surprised if names like Justin Hardee, Ashtyn Davis, and Connor McGovern join this list in the future.

7. C.J. Mosley, LB, NY Jets

C.J. Mosley is the only player on this list whose contract didn't expire this offseason. That makes the Jets' decision to hand him a new contract more of an extension than a true re-signing. Still, he belongs on this list.

The Jets ripped up Mosley's old contract, handing him a new two-year, $17.25 million deal with $13.25 million in guarantees. Mosley was set to carry a cap hit of over $21 million into 2024, so it came as no surprise that the Jets looked to mitigate that cap hit.

Most expected the Jets to simply restructure Mosley's contract. In the end, Mosley essentially agreed to a pay cut, with the trade-off being a significant chunk of guaranteed money and a one-year extension through the 2025 season.

The move likely keeps the Jets' defensive captain around for an extra season while lowering his cap hits. Mosley is one of the most important players on the Jets' roster, so it's great to see him sticking around for another year.
