The NY Jets were able to plug a good amount of their remaining roster holes in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Jets successfully bolstered their offensive line depth, added another wide receiver, and even revamped their running back room.

That said, there might still be some work to be done. The good news is that the Jets still have every opportunity to address their remaining roster needs via the free-agent market.

General manager Joe Douglas has been known to be active in late free agency, making a number of signings after the draft over the years. Of course, Dalvin Cook stands out as a notable example from last year.

What, hopefully more successful, Cook-like signings could the Jets make this year? Let's take a look at five free agents the Jets should consider signing after the 2024 NFL Draft.

5. The NY Jets could sign WR Zay Jones

The Jets added a much-needed boost to their wide receiver room in the draft in the form of third-round pick Malachi Corley. Corley joins Garrett Wilson, Mike Williams, and Allen Lazard in a revamped receiving corps.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Jets add another piece to this room before Week 1, however. While many will be quick to point out former Aaron Rodgers teammate Marquez Valdes-Scantling, there are better options on the market.

Zay Jones was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, and while the former Buffalo Bills wideout isn't exactly Jerry Rice, he is just two years removed from an 82-catch, 823-yard season in 2022.

Jones missed time due to a PCL injury last season, but still at just 29 years old, there's no reason he can't be a capable fourth or fifth wide receiver. The Jets should make a call to see what his price tag is.
