2. The NY Jets could re-sign WR Corey Davis

The Jets have made it clear that they would welcome a Corey Davis reunion with open arms. The former Tennessee Titans first-round pick was re-instated from the retired list this offseason with the expectation that he will return to the field in 2024 after a year away from the game.

The Jets have been in constant contact with Davis, and while there is interest in a reunion, it seems to be more on the team side. Davis reportedly wants to stay close to his home in Nashville and Allen Lazard's presence could conflict with his role.

Nonetheless, Davis is better than Lazard and should be an option if the Jets are looking to add another wide receiver before the summer. While his first season with the Jets was a disappointment, Davis was playing well before his untimely injury in 2022.

Davis is a quality NFL wide receiver who, assuming he can shake off the rust, would be an important depth addition to the Jets' receiving corps. The only question is will Davis have more appealing offers?

1. The NY Jets could re-sign C Connor McGovern

If the Jets are going to re-sign one former player this offseason, it should be Connor McGovern. In fact, re-signing McGovern should probably be one of the team's top remaining priorities.

McGovern has served the Jets well as an average starting center over the last four seasons, starting 55 games before an injury forced him to relinquish the starting job to Joe Tippmann last year.

Tippmann is the Jets' starting center moving forward, but McGovern would give the team an excellent backup option in 2024. Right now, Wes Schweitzer and Jake Hanson are the top two backup center options, and neither is a natural center.

McGovern would give the Jets much-needed interior offensive line depth, and it's fair to assume he could be had for cheap given the contract he signed last offseason. Assuming the medicals check out, McGovern should be brought back.
