The NY Jets have worked hard to revamp their roster this offseason. They've completely reshaped their offensive line and bolstered other positions of need such as wide receiver, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated seasons in franchise history.
But just because they've put in the work doesn't mean their work is done. The Jets could still have a few moves made up their sleeve over the coming months.
One possible scenario would be to explore a reunion with a number of former Jets players who remain unsigned. Some of these players would be welcomed back as quality depth while others may not have ended their tenures on encouraging terms.
Let's take a look at five former Jets players the team could still reunite with this offseason.
5. The NY Jets could re-sign S Jamal Adams
It's safe to say this one probably isn't going to happen, but it's at least worth discussing what a potential Jamal Adams reunion would look like.
Adams has spent the last four seasons in Seattle after forcing his way out of New York in controversial fashion. Unfortunately, injuries and inconsistent play have tanked his career since leaving the Jets.
He's played in just 34 of a possible 67 games over the last four seasons and hasn't been able to come close to his level of production with the Jets. That said, Adams can still fill a role when healthy.
The Jets could be in the market for another safety and Adams as a player would be a quality addition. Needless to say, however, his past with the organization makes this one highly unlikely.
