What was once a year of great hope and excitement took a considerable hit as 2022 drew to a close. The NY Jets' playoff hopes were officially extinguished following their disappointing Week 17 loss.

While the 2022 campaign ends on a disappointing note, two critical things have been made abundantly clear. One, the Jets' defense is legitimate.

There has been no shortage of NFL teams that have found good, and even championship success, on the heels of their defense. The Legion of Boom Seahawks and the Peyton Manning Broncos come immediately to mind as recent examples.

Two, the Zach Wilson experiment has been a failure. The recent No. 2 overall pick's benching and subsequent failures in the wake of Mike White's injury have all but sealed his fate with the franchise.

Perhaps Wilson can make a Sam-Darnold-with-the-Panthers-like career salvage with another franchise, but the Jets' have too much win-now talent to squander on a project QB. For the record, I am also of the belief that Mike White is not the answer as a future Jets' starter.

This begs the question on every Jets' fans mind: who does the team turn to in 2023? Recently, our Justin Fried wrote about several mainstream options. Today we bring you three additional under-the-radar options that I would love to see fill Gang Green's void at QB.
