Even after a year where the New York Jets were the laughingstock of the league, a New England Patriots team that was somehow even worse could possibly screw things up for Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey by completely altering their 2025 NFL Draft plans.

Over the last few weeks, there has been a ton of noise connecting New England with LSU left tackle Will Campbell at No. 4 overall. In addition, a plurality of NFL mock drafts have the Jets using their No. 7 pick on one of two players: Missouri right tackle Armand Membou and Penn State tight end Tyler Warren.

ESPN's Matt Miller has some intel that could ruin the fantasy of Membou coming to New York. According to Miller, many within the scouting community believe that Membou could be the first offensive lineman off the board, which could make him a clear and obvious target for the Patriots at No. 4 overall.

While this wouldn't be so destabilizing that Glenn and Mougey need to start panicking, it would be tough for one of their top targets in their quest to build an offense to be snatched right out of their hands by their biggest rival, leaving them with a prospect many will consider to be inferior.

Patriots could steal Armand Membou away from Jets in 2025 NFL Draft

Membou is not only a premium athlete for the position with some of the most dominant tape of any prospect in this class, but he is a pure right tackle. With 2024 first-rounder Olu Fashanu coming on strong at the end of last season at left tackle, he and Membou could lock down both tackle spots for a decade.

If Membou is off the board, Campbell and Warren could be the top targets for the Jets. However, Campbell brings length questions and would need to be flipped from the left side to the right. Warren would be the team's No. 2 pass catcher behind Garrett Wilson, but would picking a tight end that high be a good value play?

The Jets could try to trade up for Membou (especially amid some buzz suggesting the Raiders could take him at No. 6 overall), but this rebuilding team might not be wise to burn much of their NFL Draft capital to move up a handful of spots.

Both Campbell and Warren would be terrific selections for the Jets, but Membou may be the prize, and it could be tough to envision a scenario where he is protecting Drake Maye and not Justin Fields.
