The NY Jets enter their Week 8 matchup against the New England Patriots beaten and battered, both mentally and physically. Not only are the Jets riding a four-game losing streak in desperate need of a win, but they enter this week's game with their most extensive injury report of the season.

The Jets have already ruled out three players for Sunday's game against the Patriots, with two more players listed as doubtful. In total, seven different Jets players have injury designations while 15 players popped up on the injury report this week.

Some notable players dealing with injuries who are expected to play in Week 8 include Aaron Rodgers (hamstring, knee), linebacker Quincy Williams (neck), and Will McDonald (shoulder).

The Jets should also see the return of cornerbacks D.J. Reed (groin) and Michael Carter II (back) who both don't have injury designations for this week's game. The Jets will have their starting cornerback trio back for the first time since September.

The Jets have ruled out safety Ashtyn Davis (concussion), defensive tackle Leki Fotu (knee), and starting right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle) for this week's game against the Patriots.

Starting safety Tony Adams (hamstring) is also listed as doubtful, meaning the Jets will likely be down their top three safeties, with Chuck Clark already on injured reserve. Isaiah Oliver and Jalen Mills are expected to start in their place.

Fotu missed the first five weeks of the season with a hamstring injury and only recently returned to the lineup. He's now set to miss action again, this time due to a knee injury. The Jets could elevate Bruce Hector from the practice squad to take his spot in the rotation.

Vera-Tucker injured his ankle in the Jets' Week 7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and with Xavier Newman also landing on injured reserve after that game, the Jets are down to their third-string right guard, Jake Hanson.

Hanson started four games for the Jets last season and is the last remaining backup interior offensive lineman on the roster. Former UFL standout Kohl Levao is a possible game-day elevation from the practice squad.

Allen Lazard (chest) is also expected to miss Sunday's game with a chest injury. That should force Mike Williams back into the WR3 role alongside Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams. It also means rookie Malachi Corley might be active for the first time since Week 3.

Right tackle Morgan Moses was a limited participant in practice this week and is listed as questionable with a knee injury, although he's expected to play. Rookie Olu Fashanu would be his primary backup.

Backup tight end Kenny Yeboah was designated to return from the injured reserve this week and is listed as questionable after practicing fully all week.

However, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters that Yeboah would not be activated to the 53-man roster before Sunday. He will have another opportunity to make his season debut on Thursday night against the Houston Texans.
