NY Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has made it clear that he intends to play all 17 games for his team this season after a torn Achilles wiped out his entire first year in New York.
Rodgers has forced himself to play through various injuries this season, including a partial hamstring tear, an MCL sprain, and a high-ankle sprain. It's looking like he will do the same this coming Sunday.
Rodgers popped up on the injury report with a knee injury this week but was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The four-time MVP told reporters it's an issue related to his MCL again but that he intends to play in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills.
Rodgers suffered the injury during the Jets' Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams but remained in the game. Expect him to be on the field with his teammates this weekend.

Olu Fashanu injury timeline revealed
Many Jets fans likely feared the worst when standout rookie left tackle Olu Fashanu was carted off the field with a foot injury during Sunday's loss to the Rams. Thankfully, the Jets seem to have avoided the worst-case scenario.
The Jets officially placed Fashanu on the injured reserve this week after he was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. The Penn State product is not expected to undergo surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
Not only is Fashanu expected to be ready for OTAs in the spring, but NFL Network's Mika Garafolo reported that his injury is only supposed to keep him sidelined for "a few weeks."
Fashanu's rookie season may have come to an unfortunately premature end, but the Jets feel confident that they have their long-term left tackle of the future. Fortunately, his injury was not nearly as serious as initially feared.
Rodgers praises Jets rookie safety
Aaron Rodgers has gone out of his way to shout out various under-the-radar Jets players who he believes deserve credit this year, and the latest teammate to receive praise from the future Hall of Famer is rookie safety Jarius Monroe.
The Jets officially signed Monroe to their 53-man roster this week after placing Fashanu on IR. Rodgers praised Monroe's work ethic and professionalism and insisted that he probably should've been signed sooner.
The Jets signed Monroe as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane this past spring, and the Nicholls State transfer impressed enough in the summer to earn a spot on the practice squad. The team notably opted to keep him over Mr. Irrelevant selection, Jaylen Key.
Monroe has been elevated to appear in three games this season, playing 17 defensive snaps and 28 special-teams snaps. He hopes to follow a similar trajectory to Tony Adams, who eventually developed into a starting safety for the Jets.
