The NY Jets are set to debut a new-look roster when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football in Week 7. Davante Adams has joined the team and he will be making his Jets debut tonight.

The Jets made the long-awaited trade for Adams this past week, sending a conditional third-round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders for a player who immediately raises the ceiling of this Jets offense.

Adams reunites with his longtime quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, on a Jets offense that showed serious signs of life last week. The hope is that Adams and Rodgers can help lead the Jets to a much-needed victory over the Steelers tonight.

It's been a chaotic couple of weeks for the Jets, from the Robert Saleh firing to the Adams trade to the Haason Reddick situation, but at 2-4, this has all the makings of a must-win for Gang Green.

The Steelers will be starting Russell Wilson at quarterback, as the nine-time Pro Bowler makes his Pittsburgh debut with Justin Fields back on the bench. Wilson and the Steelers are hoping to improve to 5-2, placing them atop the AFC North standings.

The Jets have ruled out nickel cornerback Michael Carter II for another week with a back injury. Cornerback D.J. Reed (groin), tight end Tyler Conklin (hip), and linebacker Chazz Surratt (heel) are all listed as questionable.

The Steelers have ruled out starting center Zach Frazier (ankle), linebacker Nick Herbig (hamstring), and running back/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) for tonight's game. Wide receiver Roman Wilson (hamstring) and safety Damontae Kazee (ankle) are listed as questionable.

Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Steelers tonight? We've got you covered.

Full inactives list for NY Jets in Week 7

  • RB Israel Abanikanda
  • CB D.J. Reed
  • CB Michael Carter II
  • WR Malachi Corley
  • DE Braiden McGregor
  • OT Max Mitchell
  • OT Carter Warren

Standout nickel cornerback Michael Carter II is inactive with a back injury. Carter will miss his third consecutive game with the injury, as Isaiah Oliver is expected to start in his place. The Jets elevated Kendall Sheffield from the practice squad to provide more depth in the slot.

Cornerback D.J. Reed is also inactive after suffering a groin injury last week. Reed did not participate in practice all week but was listed as questionable for tonight's game. Brandin Echols will start in his place. Qwan'Tez Stiggers will serve as the dime back and Jarrick Bernard-Converse is active for the second time this year.

The remainder of the Jets inactives are the same as last week. Third-round rookie Malachi Corley continues to be a healthy scratch, and that doesn't figure to change anytime soon after the addition of Adams.

Israel Abanikanda has been a healthy scratch in every game this season. Olu Fashanu will be the lone backup offensive tackle with Carter Warren and Max Mitchell both inactive. Braiden McGregor is the odd man out in the defensive line room again.
