Loud 'Sell The Team' chants at MetLife Stadium sum up pathetic Jets season perfectly
By Mike Luciano
The NY Jets came into their primetime matchup against the Houston Texans with just about as little momentum as humanly possible following five straight losses, and their first half managed to meet every single hater's expectations. The first half of this game has been as putrid as one could imagine.
Between Malachi Corley dropping his first career touchdown right before he was waltzing into the end zone, Aaron Rodgers completing just seven passes for 32 yards, and the Jets losing multiple starters on both offense and defense due to injury, things are as bleak as they have ever been.
Fans have been fed up with Woody Johnson for the entirety of their soon-to-be 14-year playoff drought, and their emotions have reached a new boiling point. Fans have wanted Woody to sell the team for quite some time, but the true depth of their anger was highlighted before a primetime audience.
After two separate drives managed to stall out and the Jets went into halftime with zero points on the ledger, fans responded with a brutal chorus of "sell the team" echoing throughout MetLife Stadium. Johnson and the front office have to be disgusted with the product they have put on display.

The Jets are now losing in ways previously unforeseen by modern man. Players dropping touchdowns at the one-yard line? Check. Davante Adams suddenly having problems with drops? Why not? Sauce Gardner's lack of tackling skill being exposed for the world to see? Perfect.
Even Pat McAfee, loyal sycophant and defender of all things Rodgers, is taken aback with just how pathetic things have been for them this year. It seems highly unlikely that there is anything positive that can be salvaged from this season, and a complete rebuild is necessary.
The Jets still have half of their season to go, even with a clearly limited Rodgers, no offensive cohesion, and a weakened defense playing without many of their impact players. There's a good chance things somehow get even worse for Jeff Ulbrich and his players, which is a very scary thought.
Woody Johnson is not going to sell the team. He is 78 years old, wants to see a winner, and is as stubborn as a mule. However, that won't stop his fanbase from openly revolting, as this mess of a roster has passed the standard for being unacceptable a while back.
