Latest Breece Hall injury update is best-case scenario for fantasy owners
By Justin Fried
NY Jets running back Breece Hall popped up on the injury report with a knee injury on Wednesday, leading to some genuine concern that he would be unable to play in the team's Week 13 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Hall apparently suffered the injury in the Jets' Week 11 loss to the Indianapolis Colts but remained in the game. It wasn't until after the game that Hall experienced soreness in his knee.
The injury was enough to keep Hall out of practice on Wednesday despite the star running back having an extra week of rest with his team's bye week. That led to concern that he might be forced to miss Sunday's game.
Fortunately for the Jets and Hall fantasy owners, the team received good news about his status on Thursday and Friday. Hall now seems in line to play in Week 13 against the Colts.
NY Jets receive positive update on Breece Hall injury
Hall returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday before being upgraded to a full participant on Friday. The Jets officially listed Hall as questionable on their final Week 13 injury report, but all indications are that he will be able to play this Sunday.
Hall told reporters on Friday that he tweaked his knee in the second quarter of the Colts game, but after rehabbing last week and resting up this week, he expects to play on Sunday against Seattle.
The former Iowa State star has rushed for 634 yards and four touchdowns while adding 46 catches for 401 yards and two touchdowns in the air this season. His efficiency is down compared to last year, but Hall has still been one of the Jets' best players in 2024.
Hall is averaging 5.0 yards per carry over his last four games and hauled in seven catches for 43 yards and a touchdown in last week's loss to the Colts. The Jets will hope for similar production from him when they host the Seahawks on Sunday.
Rookie running back Braelon Allen could be in line for an increase in playing time if Hall is on a snap count, but as of right now, the Jets don't expect any limitations for their star running back.
Fantasy owners should feel confident starting Breece Hall this week against a Seahawks defense that has allowed 4,7 yards per carry and 10 rushing touchdowns this season.
