The New York Jets will likely be without Breece Hall for another week, as he rehabs from a quad injury. That pushes Braelon Allen into the RB1 role, but the coaching staff needs to give fellow running back Isaiah Davis some snaps against the Cleveland Browns.

With their backs against the wall, the Jets will be looking for everyone to bring some juice on the field, and if given the chance, Davis could provide the offense with some fresh legs.

Through four games, Davis has barely been used, playing two snaps total. And those snaps came last week against the Bears. Meanwhile, they gave Allen 30 snaps, which came out to 94 percent of the offensive plays.

Isaiah Davis deserves a bigger role for New York Jets against Cleveland Browns

It was a disaster offensively for New York against Chicago, and they can't replicate that kind of performance. We all know that Allen is more of a bruising, downhill runner, but getting Davis out there would give them some more juice.

Davis has been a backup throughout his time with the Jets, but when he's been on the field, he has been a solid option. Not only is he a sound runner, but he has soft hands out of the backfield and is an asset as a pass blocker.

In his Jets career, Davis has compiled 73 carries for 410 rushing yards and two scores. He's averaging 5.6 yards per carry, which isn't anything to brush past. As a pass catcher, Davis has logged 30 catches for 261 receiving yards and another score.

Putting Davis on the field would give New York's offense a nice change of pace and a different kind of running style compared to Allen. It's very clear that this staff loves Allen and will lean on him, but they need to change some things around.

Davis is a better receiver and check-down option in the passing game compared to Allen. For an offense that was only on the field for 32 snaps against Chicago, they need to reevaluate everything in that operation.

The best offenses in the league use a running back committee, and the Jets aren't above that approach. They actually have their backs against the wall and need to find a way to secure a win on Sunday.

It should be an all-hands-on-deck approach, and getting Davis on the field needs to be on New York's checklist. When given the chance to play, Davis has made the most of the opportunities, and New York must find a way to get him involved in the matchup against Cleveland.
