Jets inactives list for Week 9 game vs Chiefs (Garrett Wilson injury update)

The New York Jets will enter their Week 9 matchup with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs riding a three-game losing streak following consecutive disappointing home losses to the Miami Dolphins and Las Vegas Raiders.

Aaron Glenn's Jets had a chance to climb to 4-4 and keep their season alive over the last couple of weeks. Instead, the team managed to find ways to lose both games and now sits at 2-6 with its playoff hopes on life support.

A matchup with a 5-2 Chiefs team this week likely won't help their cause, especially with Kansas City desperate for a win following consecutive losses of their own. The Jets will also be a bit shorthanded in today's game.

The Jets have ruled out WR Garrett Wilson (concussion), OLB Joseph Ossai (ankle), LB Trevin Wallace (groin), and CB Nahshon Wright (back), while rookie safety VJ Payne (knee) remains on the injured reserve for another week. DT Harrison Phillips is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

The good news is that both RB Breece Hall (quad) and OLB David Bailey (groin) are off the injury report and will make their returns this week. This will be Hall's first game played in well over a month, as he returns to a split backfield alongside Braelon Allen.

As for the Chiefs, they've ruled out rookie CB Mansoor Delane (shoulder), rookie DT Peter Woods (neck), and DT Omarr Norman-Lott, who remains on the PUP list as he rehabs the torn ACL he suffered late last year. Backup wide receiver and return specialist Nikko Remigio is questionable due to a hip injury.
