The New York Jets are just hours away from the final game of what has been a dismal 2025 season. Mercifully, it will all come to an end later today when the final whistle blows in the Jets’ Week 18 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

The Jets are hoping to avoid becoming the first team in NFL history to lose five consecutive games by 23+ in a single season, following yet another embarrassing blowout loss a week ago. The Bills are simply hoping to enter the postseason with a healthy roster.

While Josh Allen and the Bills’ starters are expected to play today, they likely will not be on the field for long. Don’t be surprised if Allen takes the opening snap to preserve his active-starts streak before being pulled shortly thereafter.

The Jets, meanwhile, will be without almost every notable player on their roster in Week 18. The likes of Breece Hall, Mason Taylor, Isaiah Davis, Brandon Stephens, Qwan'tez Stiggers, Micheal Clemons, Xavier Newman, and Jelani Woods were all ruled out, with some of those players landing on IR.

Right guard Joe Tippmann (hip) and quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee) are also listed as questionable. Tippmann is expected to play, giving the Jets the same starting five offensive linemen in every game this season. Taylor could be active, especially after the Jets signed Hendon Hooker to their active roster.

As for the Bills, Buffalo has ruled out linebacker Terrel Bernard (calf), defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf), and safety Jordan Poyer (hamstring). Defensive end Joey Bosa (hamstring), tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee), and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (ankle) are all questionable.

Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Bills today? Who are any of these players? We've got you covered.

  • RB Breece Hall
  • CB Brandon Stephens
  • CB Qwan'tez Stiggers
  • DE Micheal Clemons
  • TE Jelani Woods

The Jets will be down their top three running backs on Sunday, with Breece Hall, Isaiah Davis, and Braelon Allen all out. The team's backfield rotation will be Kene Nwangwu, Khalil Herbert, and the recently elevated Raheem Blackshear.

The Jets are also down essentially every NFL-caliber cornerback under contract with the team. With Brandon Stephens and Qwan'tez Stiggers out, the Jets will start Ja'Sir Taylor, Tre Brown, and Jordan Clark at cornerback. Samuel Womack, elevated from the practice squad, will be the only backup.

Defensive end Micheal Clemons is also sidelined for today's game. The Jets will lean on a defensive end rotation of Jermaine Johnson, Eric Watts, Braiden McGregor, and Kingsley Jonathan against the Bills.

The Jets will only have two active tight ends today, with Jelani Woods inactive. Jeremy Ruckert and Stone Smartt will be the Jets' tight ends, with fullback Andrew Beck likely filling in as well.

Right guard Joe Tippmann is active despite being listed as questionable. Hendon Hooker will be the backup quarterback today, as Tyrod Taylor is inactive due to a knee injury.

Wide receiver Tyler Johnson is the lone healthy scratch for the Jets. Undrafted rookie Quentin Skinner is active for the first time and should make his NFL debut today.
