The New York Jets continue to play out the final stretch of the 2025 season, and this week, they return to East Rutherford for their final home game of the year against the first-place New England Patriots.

The Jets have lost three consecutive games, all by 20+ points, after an encouraging 3-2 stretch, but it's safe to say the organization isn't doing everything it can to win football games right now.

Garrett Wilson has been shut down for the season, Justin Fields was placed on IR this week, and Tyrod Taylor has been glued to the bench in favor of undrafted rookie quarterback Brady Cook. Three other Jets, including Will McDonald, were also placed on IR this week.

Rookie tight end Mason Taylor will miss his third consecutive game due to a neck injury. The Jets hoped to have Taylor back this week, and there is still a chance he will return for the season finale against Buffalo next Sunday.

The only other active player on the final injury report is backup offensive guard Xavier Newman, who was downgraded to questionable after popping up on the injury report with a knee injury on Friday.

As for the Patriots, wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (concussion), wide receiver Mack Hollins (abdomen), edge rusher Harold Landry (knee), linebacker Robert Spillane (ankle), defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga (foot), offensive guard Jared Wilson (concussion), and defensive lineman Milton Williams (ankle) have all been ruled out. Hollins has been placed on IR.

Meanwhile, wide receiver DeMario Douglas (hamstring), cornerback Charles Woods (foot), and tight end/fullback Jack Westover (illness) are all listed as questionable.

New England elevated cornerback Kobee Minor and former Jets defensive tackle Leonard Taylor III from their practice squad as reinforcements for today's game. The Jets, meanwhile, curiously elevated quarterback Hendon Hooker from their practice squad.

Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Patriots today? We've got you covered.

  • QB Tyrod Taylor

Tight end Mason Taylor will miss his third consecutive game due to a neck injury. The Jets hope to have him back for the season finale, but in the meantime, expect to see more Jeremy Ruckert, Jelani Woods, and Stone Smartt today.

Tyrod Taylor is a surprise inactive after he was not given a designation on the final injury report. Taylor missed Friday's practice due to personal reasons and will miss today's game. Hendon Hooker, elevated from the practice squad, will serve as QB2 behind Brady Cook.

Safety Chris Smith, offensive guard Marquis Hayes, and wide receiver Quentin Skinner — all signed to the active roster last week — are healthy scratches. Xavier Newman, listed as questionable due to a knee injury, is active today.

  • QB Tommy DeVito (emergency QB)

The Patriots will be without a host of key players in Week 17, including wide receiver Kayshon Boutte. Boutte and Hollins are out, while DeMario Douglas is active. Douglas joins Stefon Diggs, Kyle Williams, and Efton Chism III as the only healthy wideouts for the Patriots today.

Former Jets defensive tackle Leonard Taylor III, elevated from the practice squad, helps replace the loss of starting nose tackle Khyiris Tonga. Meanwhile, expect to see more of Anfernee Jennings and rookies Elijah Ponder and Bradyn Swinson with Harold Landry out.

Ben Brown is expected to start in place of Jared Wilson at left guard. Brown started 10 games for the Patriots last season and has already made two starts in 2025. Jahlani Tavai will likely start for the injured Robert Spillane at linebacker.
