In the real world, these New York Jets aren't exactly going to be as fun to watch as other teams around the league. However, in the fantasy realm, there are going to be players worth watching every Sunday.

Fantasy managers of Garrett Wilson have forever wondered if he's going to hit his ceiling, but as Jets fans know good and well, that has everything to do with who's under center and nothing to do with the talent of Garrett.

This year, we still may not see the true ceiling. But the quarterback position is going to be worth watching, as will some other spots.

Throughout training camp and the preseason, consider this to be your one-stop shop for everything fantasy-related when it comes to the New York Jets.

Note: This story will be updated regularly throughout the New York Jets' training camp and preseason.

Latest Fantasy Football updates for the Jets: News, injuries and position battles

Geno Smith had rough joint practice vs. Bucs -- 8/11

On the first day of joint practice, Smith threw three interceptions, two of which were returned for a touchdown. He ended up rebounding a little, tossing two touchdowns in the red zone. He hit Mason Taylor and Garrett Wilson on a deflected pass for scores. Nonetheless, it wasn't a good showing for the vet.

Isaiah Williams has been star at Jets camp and Omar Cooper Jr. could take a hit -- 8/11

Williams has consistently stood out in practice and could be someone who "leapfrog first-round pick Omar Cooper Jr., who has experienced "little pitfalls," receivers coach Shawn Jefferson said", per ESPN's Rich Cimini. That's a big statement and shows how much a factor Williams has been.

Geno Smith dominates in the condensed area -- 8/6

After an off day, the Jets returned to the practice field, and Geno Smith was in complete control. New York focused on drills from 25 yards inward. According to The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt, Smith threw touchdown passes to Garrett Wilson and AD Mitchell. He was very accurate and got the ball out to his playmakers.

Kenyon Sadiq suffers setback following hernia surgery -- 8/4

Following Tuesday's practice, head coach Aaron Glenn revealed that Sadiq had "a little setback” and will be sidelined for a bit. Glenn is confident that he'll be ready to roll for Week 1, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cade Klubnik 'efficient' even in bad weather -- 8/4

During Monday's practice, the rookie finished 8-of-12 while Geno Smith was only 3-of-9. Per Rich Cimini, he didn't necessarily make any highlight plays, but Klubnik's efficiency, and in bad weather, was impressive.

Omar Cooper Jr. made a nice play in Monday's practice -- 8/3

With the second week of camp starting, Cooper Jr. made a nifty call during 7-on-7s. He caught a pass from Geno Smith down the sideline with Andre Cisco in coverage, per The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt. It was a rainy practice, which made the catch even more impressive.

'Dependable' Kenyon Sadiq stood out in today's practice -- 7/30

Per Mike Garafolo, Sadiq put together a productive day and was one of the main targets for rookie quarterback Cade Klubnik. Garafolo reported he didn't make any splash plays, but it was his full body of "dependable" work during this practice which stood out.

Mason Taylor a camp standout during Thursday's practice -- 7/30

On the same day Sadiq stood out, Taylor was also impressive. Again per Garafolo:

"One of the standout parts of his practice was hauling in multiple difficult throws along the boundary from Cade Klubnik, demonstrating reliable hands and an ability to make plays in tight spaces."

Cade Klubnik shining in Jets camp early -- 7/30

"All signs are pointing toward Cade Klubnik making a serious push for the Jets' backup quarterback job," said Garafolo. "He turned in an outstanding practice, completing 6 of 7 passes during 11-on-11 drills and 3 of 4 in 7-on-7 work, consistently getting the ball out on time and showing good command of the offense."

First, the backup job. Next... look out Geno?

Mason Taylor vs. Kenyon Sadiq: who wins the battle? -- 7/29

With Kenyon Sadiq's hernia forcing him to miss much of the Jets' offseason program, that automatically puts him behind the 8-ball. Now, Mason Taylor likely would have been the starter either way, at least during Sadiq's rookie year.

This season, neither may matter much at all for fantasy purposes. But, if there's a clear-cut noise maker in camp, that could change quickly.

Omar Cooper Jr. vs. Adonai Mitchell for the Jets' WR2 -- 7/29

Towards the end of last season, AD Mitchell came on and started to show signs of life that we never saw from him in Indy. Now, he'll have a real threat as he tries to continue his breakout. Omar Cooper Jr. will be giving him a strong run for his money as the team's WR2, and this battle will be quite fun to watch.

Geno Smith vs. Cade Klubnik isn't a competition -- but it matters -- 7/29

While Geno Smith was brought in to be the Jets' starter for 2026, the narrative is easy to build around rookie fourth-round pick Cade Klubnik. The Jets may very well stink again this season, and much of it could be due to Smith falling off.

If the Jets reach a point where the season looks to be lost, Klubnik will get his shot. That might come sooner than later, too. Klubnik won't be worth rostering, but if/when he gets his first start, he'll be worth a stash just for kicks.

Adonai Mitchell vs. Omar Cooper Jr. for the Jets' WR2 is going to be heated -- 7/29

Over the early offseason, Geno Smith and AD Mitchell formed some chemistry which is worth noting when it comes to the WR2 battle. We'll see how that continues to develop during training camp.
