The New York Jets know they have plenty of work ahead after a 3–14 debut season under Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey. It’s fair to say that, at least for Glenn, the 2026 offseason already feels like a sink-or-swim moment for the regime.
The Jets will enter the offseason with glaring holes across the roster, none more pressing than quarterback — a familiar story for the franchise. Fortunately, they will be armed with ample cap space and, perhaps more importantly, significant draft capital to address those needs.
With that in mind, the Jets cannot afford to treat this offseason in a vacuum, especially if they plan to build around a young quarterback. In this mock draft, the Jets not only land Dante Moore, but also prioritize giving him immediate help in a star-studded first two rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft.
New York Jets 2-round 2026 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 2: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
All eyes remain on Dante Moore as the NFL awaits his decision. Will Moore return to Oregon for another year? Will he declare for the draft and turn pro? We should find out our answer before the end of the week, but for now, let's just assume he declares.
Moore's two worst games this season came against Indiana's vaunted defense, and while his performance in the College Football Playoff semifinal may have left a bad taste in the mouth of many fans, there's still a lot to like about his 2025 tape.
Moore is one of the most accurate passers in this class, showing an advanced feel for the game and the ability to process defenses well beyond what you’d expect from a quarterback with his level of experience. His film is littered with NFL-caliber throws.
He still needs additional seasoning, and the Jets would be wise to let him sit early in his career, but Moore has the tools to develop into a high-level NFL quarterback. The Jets take the swing here.
Round 1, Pick 16: Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn
The Jets also enter the offseason with a pressing need at edge rusher, perhaps more so than many fans realize. It’s a position the team should be willing to invest significant resources into, which is why they address it here by selecting Auburn’s Keldric Faulk with the 16th overall pick.
At 6-foot-6, 285 pounds, Faulk is a big-bodied edge defender with impressive size who, at just 20 years old, already possesses the traits to project as a difference-maker in the NFL.
Faulk is arguably the best run defender in this class, pairing outstanding athleticism with enough pass-rush juice to project a leap at the next level. While his pass-rush production dipped in 2025, he posted 45 pressures and nine total sacks during the 2024 season, according to Pro Football Focus.
Faulk may never develop into a perennial All-Pro game-wrecker, but he projects as a high-level starter with shades of Jadeveon Clowney. That’s a profile you sign up for at No. 16 every time.
Round 2, Pick 33: Elijah Sarratt, WR, Indiana
Jets fans who followed Fernando Mendoza and Indiana this season likely saw plenty of No. 13 lining up at wide receiver. That player, Elijah Sarratt, should be near the top of the Jets’ wish list on Day 2 of the draft.
Sarratt checks in at 6-foot-2 and 213 pounds, but he’s a true alpha X receiver who plays even bigger. The James Madison transfer hauled in an absurd 60% of his contested catch opportunities (54 of 90) over his college career and recorded 15 touchdowns in 13 games this season.
The Jets may not be able to land Mendoza in this year's draft, but they could add his favorite receiver. Sarratt would be a perfect complement to Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell in Tanner Engstrand's offense.
Round 2, Pick 44: Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas
Perhaps no position group on the Jets’ roster was more disappointing in 2025 than linebacker. Quincy Williams is expected to depart in free agency, and the Jets may already be second-guessing their decision to extend Jamien Sherwood, who is slated to return as a starter but whose future with the team remains uncertain beyond next season.
That's why we gave them Texas standout Anthony Hill Jr. here in the second round. Hill was a tackling machine in college, posting an elite 88.8 Pro Football Focus tackling grade in 2025.
A former five-star recruit, Hill is an athletic, physical linebacker who primarily lined up at WILL for Texas. His biggest concern remains inconsistencies in coverage.
Still, Hill is a highly productive linebacker who appears to be just scratching the surface of his potential. While there may be early growing pains, he projects as a day-one starter with legitimate Pro Bowl upside.
