The New York Jets currently own three top-15 picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, as the Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams trades have helped them add the picks that originally belonged to the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.

The Jets have the ability to bring in some reinforcements to a weak defensive line, all while finding a new franchise quarterback and a long-term starter for the linebacker room.

Following this three-round outline could be the best way for the Jets to ensure they bounce back from another down year and set themselves up for the future.

Jets 3-round 2027 NFL Mock Draft after Week 6

Round 1, Pick 6: CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame

Carr and Oklahoma State's Drew Mestemaker have risen up rankings, with Texas' Arch Manning and Oregon's Dante Moore seeing their stock drop. With Miami's Darian Mensah and Ole Miss' Trinidad Chambliss facing questions about his arm strength and physical traits, respectively, Carr has mostly been tremendous.

The Carr vs. Mestemaker debate could be another in the long line of "finished product vs. upside. Where Carr excels in this comparison is his command of the offense, tremendous accuracy from the pocket, and improvements in playing out of structure this season. Carr may be the safest of the big prospects in this class.

Round 1, Pick 9: Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina

Before the season kicked off, Stewart was fighting with Texas' Colin Simmons and Notre Dame's Leonard Moore for the title of top defensive player in the Draft. A nasty suspension could ruin his stock in the eyes of some, but the Jets have the first-round capital to take a swing.

Stewart has unique movement skills, and a lackluster pass rush outside of David Bailey could land a meteoric talent who has 10-year starter potential.

Round 1, Pick 13: Will Echoles, DT, Ole Miss

T'Vondre Sweat appears to be the only Jets defensive tackle who is locked in as part of the long-term future. Echoles is the best interior disruptor in this class, and that quick first step may make him more appealing than names like Oklahoma's David Stone or Oregon's A'Mauri Washington. Echoles could be an immediate upgrade over Harrison Phillips.

The New York Jets need to draft multiple defensive linemen

Round 2, Pick 44: Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, LB, Notre Dame

While Jamien Sherwood has been much better this season, he has not lived up to his huge contract extension. Demario Davis is exceptional, but he will also be 38 next year. If Viliamu-Asa is fully recovered from his ACL injury, his reckless style of play and versatility could make him a great chess piece for the Jets' defense and a possible succession plan for Davis.

Round 3, Pick 75: Anthony Boswell, IOL, Houston

Boswell finished high school as a 230-pound lineman who just recently ticked over to 300 pounds. While he needs to get more physical, he is a top-shelf athlete for the center position who should instantly get Josh Myers worried about his starting role. Boswell and Oregon's Iapani Laloulu may be the best pure centers in this class.
