The NY Jets finally completed the trade that everyone knew was coming and Davante Adams will be heading to Florham Park to reunite with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The writing was on the wall as far as Adams' time in Las Vegas coming to an end and the Jets made the most sense when it came to the most logical landing spot for the wide receiver.

Adams' trade to New York will now give Rodgers his former favorite target from his Green Bay days and Garrett Wilson, the Jets' first-round pick in 2022. These two weapons should hopefully bolster the Jets' offense, which has struggled this season.

For those wondering how Wilson might have felt about this trade, the former first-round pick reacted to the trade on Tuesday morning, noting, "We gotta GO, and we gotta do it NOW!"

Garrett Wilson's reaction to Davante Adams shows sense of urgency for Jets

Wilson's post shows that while he's excited about the move, he and the rest of the Jets realize the situation they're currently in. The Jets, despite receiving Super Bowl hype before the season began, are 2-4 and need to collect some wins.

They only lost to the Bills by three points and had every chance to win that game, so perhaps adding Adam is going to be what puts them over the top.

Wilson currently leads the Jets in receiving yards with 399 yards and three touchdowns through six games with Allen Lazard not far behind with 354 yards and five touchdowns (he's the Jets receiving touchdown leader so far).

Lazard, another former favorite target of Rodgers' during his Packers days, has done well with his former quarterback this year so if Adams and Rodgers can also pick up where they left off, maybe the Jets offense can turn things around.

Adams' arrival will immediately put him number one on the Jets' wide receiver depth chart while Wilson will drop to number two and Lazard to number three. It's a good problem for the Jets to have as they hope to round the corner beginning in Week 7.
