Garrett Wilson signed a four-year extension with the New York Jets this offseason, showing his commitment to the franchise that drafted him. Unfortunately, the Jets are off to the worst start of Wilson’s career, currently 0-6 after six weeks of the season. The receiver, however, still looks elite, hauling in 36 passes for 395 yards and four touchdowns in the six games.

This has started the conversations that Wilson’s talent is being wasted in New York. NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky recently said the wide receiver’s talent is dying with the Jets, and he recently appeared on The Pat McAfee Show to double down on that take.

Wilson seemingly heard Orlovsky’s remarks, and he responded in a way that further endeared himself to Jets fans. The wideout took to Instagram, sharing some pictures with a simple caption: “Never wasted.”

With just two words, Wilson said so much. He said that he hears the noise, but he’s happy with where he currently is. Obviously, he doesn’t enjoy losing, but it doesn’t seem like he’s about to force his way out. That's never been Wilson's mantra.

He’s committed to the Jets, and he wants to do his part in getting things turned around. That’s the message many fans took from his post, and they couldn’t ask for a better mindset from their star receiver.

Now it’s time for the Jets to feed him the ball, because his numbers could be even better. The more targets for Wilson, the better chance New York has to win games.

Additionally, he has shown all throughout his career that he’s the kind of receiver that can make spectacular, contested catches, so Justin Fields and the Jets just need to give him more opportunities.

Unfortunately, Wilson is expected to miss time with a knee injury, but once he's back on the field, expect him to pick up right where he left off.

The Jets have an elite talent that loves to play for the team, so it's on the team to prove critics wrong and show he’s not being wasted.
