Davante Adams shares wholesome initial reaction to NY Jets trade
The New York Jets did it. They traded for Davante Adams and reunited him with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
It had felt as though the Raiders were going to trade Adams at some point but the question then came down to where would he end up. The Jets clearly decided after a backbreaking loss to the Bills that it was time to make a bold change (aside from firing their head coach) and to bring in one of Rodgers' favorite targets from his time in Green Bay.
Adams is clearly stoked about the trade. The newest Jets receiver shared an adorable video of one of his daughters following the news and she seems psyched for her dad's next move.

Adams was clearly unhappy in Las Vegas and had requested a trade a few weeks ago. The Jets were one of his preferred landing spots considering his connections to Rodgers but that didn't mean the Raiders had to give him what they wanted. Posting a video of his kid being about the trade means that Adams has to be ecstatic that he'll be on the move.
The even better news here is that the Jets didn't have to give up a lot to land Adams. They're getting a top-tier wide receiver who has experience playing with Rodgers for a conditional third-round pick. This move helps boost the Jets' offense and puts them right back into the Super Bowl conversations.
Yes, the Jets are 2-4 and coming off a rough loss to the AFC East rival Bills but Adams gives them a fiery weapon, and maybe — just maybe — this will be enough for this team to kick things into high gear and make a run at the AFC East title. Rodgers and Adams dominated in Green Bay during their time together
The Aaron Rodgers era hasn't gone according to plan so far for the Jets so props to the front office for bringing in his favorite weapon and trying to flip the script. It's only Week 7 and the Jets showed they can compete with the AFC East-leading Bills so why not go all in and make a run at the division and a playoff appearance?
Let's hope that Adams is the missing piece for the Jets and that the team finally lives up to the hype after this move.
