What ended up being moments after a loss to the Buffalo Bills, the NY Jets made a blockbuster trade to acquire wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders.

When Aaron Rodgers told The Pat McAfee Show he heard the news around 12:45 am, you knew this had been in the works for quite some time and the Jets were simply waiting for the right moment to make it happen.

It's safe to say this move couldn't have come at a better moment, with the Jets now at 2-4. Also on Tuesday's show with McAfee came quite the surprise. Rodgers is a usual guest, but what the crew didn't expect was a shocking moment that took place just as they were in the midst of discussing the Adams trade.

McAfee was just about to ask Rodgers about what happened after he heard the news when he noticed the quarterback glance over to his right on camera. McAfee stopped mid-sentence and whispered, "What's that? What's that"

And right on queue, Adams appeared on-screen right next to his new (old) quarterback.

"Well, well, well! Hey good to see you Tae, good to see you, man, congrats!" McAfee shouted.

"What's up, fellas? Hey, thank you, man, appreciate it," Adams responded as he had a huge smile on his face (as did Rodgers).

This was, of course, Adams' first public appearance since being dealt to the Jets. Who knew it would end up coming so soon after the news? It was great to see the smiles on both Adams and Rodgers, and that picture should give all the hope in the world to Jets fans.

Now, on to how Rodgers was feeling amidst all of the craziness.

"I'm really excited. I love Tae. He's a phenomenal player and a dear friend," Rodgers started out by saying.

"It was a crappy day yesterday. We had a real good chance to get to 3-3 and win a home game; kind of gave that one away," he said. McAfee wanted to know exactly what happened and how Rodgers found out about the news.

" ... got home, Tae had called me and texted me. So I called him back ... about 12:30, 12:45 last night I heard the news," Rodgers explained. The quarterback also went on to sing Adams' praises even more, noting how much he's going to do for the locker room and the rest of the guys on offense.

"Davante Adams is a proven star player and he's an incredible locker room presence. It's definitely adding a lot to our team and this move lets everybody know that we're going all in."
