Tuesday morning began what would end up being quite the media frenzy, league-wide, and it all stemmed from one New York Jets firing of head coach Robert Saleh.

Right off the bat, many gut reactions were similar. It was a bizarre, confusing decision, to say the least. Sure, the Jets are underachieving at 2-3, but let's look at the facts.

We're talking about a Jets defense that is currently ranked second in the NFL in yards allowed while boasting the league's fourth-best scoring defense (17.0 points per game). That's Saleh's bread and butter as a defensive-minded head coach.

By all accounts, he was doing a good job with his area of specialty.

Now, on the other hand, the Jets' offense has yet to really take off with Aaron Rodgers under center. There have been plenty of conversations had about play calling and the job Nathaniel Hackett has done (or hasn't done). But the reality is, it's still quite early in the season.

Many will be quick to point the finger at Rodgers and use different cut-up clips or quotes as to this being at the request of the veteran quarterback. However, that's not the case whatsoever.

In fact, Rodgers had a great relationship with his head coach, at least according to reports. This was a decision made squarely by Woody Johnson and had nothing to do with any rumored rift between quarterback and coach.

Now, knowing their relationship was indeed a strong one, we all want to know how this went down from Rodgers' perspective. The future Hall of Fame quarterback has never been short on newsworthy quotes or soundbites, and after a situation like this unfolding, you better believe fans are ready to hear what he has to say.

With Wednesday holding no media availability for Rodgers, we've officially been given what looks like Rodgers' next public appearance.

Aaron Rodgers is set to appear on-air with Pat McAfee following Robert Saleh's firing

As if we should have expected anything different, Rodgers' apparent first public conversation on Saleh's firing is going to be live on the Pat McAfee Show.

A regular guest on the show, Rodgers and McAfee are pals and Rodgers also has a good relationship with his co-host, former Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk. It only makes sense for Rodgers' first public appearance to be on McAfee's show.

You can be sure McAfee is going to ask all of the hard-hitting, juicy questions that fans want to know the answer to. At least, that's all of our hope.

In a perfect world, Rodgers covers the biggest topic at hand which is whether or not this truly had anything to do with his preferences or relationship with Saleh. Hearing an answer straight from Rodgers' mouth on the issue is going to put any doubt to rest and will trump all other reports and rumors.
