The NY Jets are getting out of the Aaron Rodgers business amid reports that New York will not move forward with the future Hall of Famer as their starting quarterback in 2025. Once again, the Jets will bring in a new head coach in Aaron Glenn without a concrete plan at quarterback.

The free agent market is very thin, so much so that it seems like Tyrod Taylor will end up being the Week 1 starter unless the Jets can make some very real improvements at the position. While this NFL Draft class has been criticized for a lack of high-end quarterback talent, the Jets may be forced into taking a budding youngster.

These five quarterbacks, who vary from Day 3 dart throws to first-round guys who could establish themselves as franchise guys, should all be on Glenn and GM Darren Mougey's radar as they try to build a winning culture in New York.

5 quarterbacks NY Jets could add in 2025 NFL Draft to replace Aaron Rodgers

5. Will Howard, Ohio State

Howard doesn't have that showstopping single trait that many elite prospects have, but the national champion will have a great deal of interest after showcasing his splendid downfield accuracy and mobility out of structure during the Buckeyes' run to the top.

4. Jalen Milroe, Alabama

Milroe shouldn't play as a rookie due to how raw he is as a passer, but it doesn't take a genius to see how a 220-pound athlete with great speed and a rocket arm can develop into a quality passer if he goes to the right offensive scheme that helps him work on all his big flaws.

3. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss

Dart is coming from a college offense that doesn't even remotely resemble pro ball, which could lead to him being viewed as an unattractive developmental project. No one questions his arm talent, accuracy, or playmaking ability, and that could be all the Jets need to see in the second round.

2. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

Sanders seems like a lock to be picked in the Top 10, though he could slide to the Jets if teams above them in the order end up figuring out their quarterback holes before the draft comes around. Sanders has a great football brain and the accuracy needed to eventually prove himself as a franchise quarterback.

1. Cam Ward, Miami

Ward has the best chance of going No. 1 overall out of any of the quarterbacks in this class, and it is easy to see why. With a strong arm, five high-end seasons of experience as a college starter, and improved accuracy this season, Ward could be a dream pick for the Jets if they somehow make a move for him.
