Time for another rebuild!

The NY Jets are already looking forward to the 2025 NFL Draft just a few weeks after Aaron Rodgers said the biggest obstacle the Jets would have this season would be handling success. The Jets have lost five straight games in that time, four of which they were favored in, and fell to 2-6 on the season.

With Rodgers assuredly not going to stick around for a longer rebuild, the Jets will likely get rid of many of the veterans on this team and reboot with a bunch of young players on cheap deals. The biggest problem, however, will once again be finding a quarterback, as the Jets need to dig themselves out of another hole.

The quarterback class for 2025 is regarded as below average, as there are a handful of solid prospects without a no-doubt top player who runs away with the first overall selection.

With the Jets unlikely to earn that top pick, expect one of these five players to be within striking distance for whoever is building this team.

5 QB prospects the NY Jets could target in the 2025 NFL Draft

5. Jalen Milroe, Alabama

Milroe was average last year, and he's in a slump right now. Even with those concerns, Milroe has a tremendous arm and is the best playmaker out of structure in this class. Milroe has the athleticism needed to challenge for an 800-yard rushing season in the right scheme to go along with an arm that keeps getting better.

4. Carson Beck, Georgia

Beck has fallen from a possible No. 1 pick to a fringe first-round pick, as he has been much more turnover-prone this year. The Jets will be betting on traits if they end up taking Beck, as his highs are very enticing. Few in this class have his downfield talent, pre-snap smarts, and daringness.

3. Quinn Ewers, Texas

Ewers doesn't have a bazooka for an arm, but his noticeable improvements throughout his college career suggest that he can be an impactful playmaker at the NFL level. Ewers' accuracy and downfield touch will be what sets him apart from other top prospects. The Jets could be entranced by the Longhorns QB if he keeps his production up.

2. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

Sanders is a lightning rod who hasn't been coached by someone other than his famous father since early in high school. Some have questioned his leadership. However, his arm talent is splendid, as is his accuracy on short and intermediate passes and his ability to pick a defense apart with his football smarts.

1. Cam Ward, Miami

Ward has some inconsistent mechanics, but he has been a high-level starter in and out of Air Raid schemes at Incarnate Word, Washington State, and Miami. With great touch, a strong arm, and an aggressive mindset, Ward is perfectly equipped to become a star quarterback in this league.
