The New York Jets have brought an end to what has been an exhaustive search for a new offensive coordinator, hiring former Indianapolis Colts coach Frank Reich. Reich is likely going to have an outsized say on which players are going to make up his offensive roster.

During Reich's best years in Indianapolis, he was able to both identify talent in the NFL Draft and develop it well, as he has some archetypes that he likes to lean on when installing his system. That could lead to him forcing the Jets to spend dome money on "his guys" as they approach free agency.

These four players, all of whom have played under Reich at some point, may find a new home with the Jets. After all, this team has a ton of money to spend in their pursuit of a winning record this season, and Reich's time in Indianapolis produced multiple players at positions of need.

4. IOL Danny Pinter

Pinter has only started 10 games in six seasons, but Indy kept bringing him back due to his versatility and solid play when pressed into action. With both John Simpson and Alijah Vera-Tucker scheduled to hit the open market, Pinter could provide some stability in the form of depth.

3. EDGE Al-Quadin Muhammad

Muhammad seems like a lock to join the Jets, as he has played under Reich for years in Indianapolis and suited up for Aaron Glenn twice in New Orleans and Detroit. Fresh off a career year with 11 sacks, Muhammad could be a speedy pass rusher who supplements Will McDonald on the edge.

2. EDGE Kwity Paye

Paye, whom Reich drafted in the first round back in 2021, was at the top of many Jets fans' hypothetical offseason big board even before the Reich hire. A solid edge-seeting pass rusher with more pass rush upside than Jermaine Johnson, Paye could be a target if Johnson is dangled in trade talks again.

1. WR Alec Pierce

Reich drafted Pierce in Indianapolis, but he didn't stick around long enough to see him blossom into one of the best deep-threat wide receivers in the league. Pierce will be expensive, but pairing him with Garrett Wilson should be more than enough to give this passing game a kick in the rear.
