The NY Jets will close out their 2020 season with a game against the New England Patriots.

The NY Jets‘ miserable disaster of a 2020 season is set to come to an end this Sunday when they take on their arch-rivals, the New England Patriots.

Riding a wave of momentum on a two-game win streak, the Jets will fly to Foxboro to take on a Patriots team set to miss the postseason for only the second time since 2002. At 6-9, they will finish with a losing record for the first time since the turn of the century two decades ago.

This isn’t the same Patriots teams of old, and that became painfully clear the last time these two teams met.

In Week 9, the Jets and Patriots squared off on Monday Night Football with New England emerging as the narrow 30-27 winners courtesy of a Nick Folk game-winning field goal. This week, with even less to play for, who knows what will happen.

Despite being the betting underdogs, the Jets have arguably been the better team as of late. With two straight victories over playoff-caliber opponents in the Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns, the Jets have realistically played like one of the better teams in football over the last two weeks.

And after starting the season 0-13, that’s something absolutely no one saw coming.

As for the Patriots, they’re losers of their last three games including a 38-9 shellacking at the hands of the Buffalo Bills a week ago.

Neither team has anything to play for. The Jets are locked into the No. 2 pick and a Patriots loss would only shoot them up a few spots in the draft order.

With nothing to lose, can the Jets defeat their rivals and rattle off three consecutive victories to end the season? Or will the Patriots snap their losing streak and end the year on a high note?

Here is everything you need to know about this Week 17 matchup.
