New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles made a surprise appearance on Season 2 of Luke Cage on Netflix. Watch the entire scene and witness a side we’ve never seen of Bowles in his tenure so far.

When it comes to New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles, he’s mostly known for his serious, strict, and quiet demeanor. It’s rare to see him bust out laughing or smiling too much as it’s all about football and leading the Jets back to being contenders again.

Taking a little bit of time away from football in 2017, Bowles decided to do something a bit out of the ordinary. People affiliated with the hit show, Luke Cage, approached him to see if he’d be interested in making a special appearance that is related to football.

Now, for the rest of his life, Bowles can also say he made an appearance on a hit television show since, as per Rich Cimini of ESPN, he’s a huge fan of Luke Cage. It was a funny and interesting scene since it would be amazing to see what Luke Cage could actually do in training camp or at the NFL Combine considering everything he brings to the table.

Bowles did a great job here and not only brought what most Jets fans see daily but another side that is refreshing to witness outside of the job. Yeah, the Jets, for the most part under the regime Bowles is a part of, haven’t done much outside of the 2015 season in which they went 10-6 and almost had a ticket to the NFL Playoffs.

Hopefully, this brings fans, players, and those around Bowles some lighthearted entertainment to enjoy between now and the start of training camp. The truth be told, Bowles will likely go back to what we’ve all seen over the past three years and that’s be all about football and getting the Jets ready for a competitive season ahead.

You can watch Season 2 of Luke Cage on Netflix as it continues to get solid reviews. Rotten Tomatoes at this point in time has it at an 82 percent overall with the audience scoring at 70 percent. Perhaps with word getting out that Bowles has an appearance on the show, it’ll increase those scores.

Maybe.
