Wide receiver Quincy Enunwa is excited to not only return to the New York Jets during the first week of organized team activities but also for what awaits this upcoming season.
Fans of the New York Jets were sad about a year ago when news broke out that wide receiver Quincy Enunwa severely injured his neck during the Green & White scrimmage game. Enunwa went down with injury and missed all of last season due to needing surgery to begin a lengthy rehab process.
Fast forward to now and Enunwa is ahead of schedule in his rehab process. He’s at a point now where he was able to participate in a limited fashion at Jets organized team activities earlier this week.
Enunwa didn’t participate in positional drills but did do light work to get to know his new teammates at wide receiver. The Jets added a lot of new faces to the team this offseason, especially at wide receiver with hopes of bolstering the positional group.

In an article written by Ethan Greenberg of NewYorkJets.com, here’s what Enunwa had to say about his return to the Jets:
“I’m excited. It’s competition and every position needs that because it pushes you and makes you become a better player,” Enunwa said. “I’m looking forward to seeing who all comes out on top. I’m going to push and I think everyone else will push too.”
Competition is the name of the game heading into Jets training camp as no players are guaranteed anything. Enunwa knows that some fierce competitors are coming in to make the final roster of the Jets at wide receiver so he’ll have to once again prove his worth to decision makers.
Overall, Enunwa is ready and excited to return to the gridiron and push the envelope. Jets fans are also anxious for him to come back and continue where he started considering at one point, he was their No. 1 receiving option on offense. If Enunwa comes back without missing a beat, he should continue to make a name for himself as one of the top offensive players on the Jets.
