The New York Jets have officially had private workouts with all four of the top quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft. Now, it’s just a matter of waiting to see who ends up being the No. 3 overall pick after months of research and thinking.

As of right now, the New York Jets have done their due diligence and held private workouts with every quarterback in the famous “Big 4” of the 2018 NFL Draft. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the Jets have gotten personal visits with Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield, and just recently, Josh Allen and Sam Darnold.

Your guess is as good as mine as to what will transpire within the first two picks of this year’s draft. Could the Cleveland Browns take Darnold with the No. 1 overall pick? Could they or even the New York Giants trade down in order to acquire more draft picks and enable a team to move up to draft their future franchise quarterback?

Who knows but at the end of the day, the Jets should be more than ready to make the biggest decision in franchise history once they’re on the clock. This is it, Jets fans. Gang Green has a golden opportunity to boldly take a top quarterback and groom him to be their next face of the franchise. You know, a game-changing quarterback that will be under center doing everything he can to win a lot of football games.

As reported by Brian Costello of the New York Post, he confirmed that throughout this past week, the Jets finally held a private workout with both Allen and Darnold, respectively. General manager Mike Maccagnan undoubtedly has a draft board both in the Jets war room and embedded in his brain for who he should draft with the No. 3 overall pick.

In the grand scheme of things, take everything you read and hear with a grain of salt since it’s about this time just days before the draft that a plethora of smokescreens hit the internet. You’ll hear a lot of nonsense that likely won’t happen come draft day.

Trust me when I say you’ll hear all sorts of things to try and throw other teams off but make no mistake about it, the Jets are ready to make this decision and hopefully, it’ll be the right one. The kind of big decision that puts this franchise back in the playoff hunt within the next year or two.

Whether it’s Darnold, Rosen, Allen, or Mayfield, one of these players will be drafted and begin their journey to finally address the most important position on the team for the Jets. Boy oh boy, I sure hope Maccagnan has all the intel he needs to confidently make his decision and not even think twice about it.
