Get the latest updates from today’s Week 1 season opener between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills.

Week 1 is finally here! For football fans all across the globe, today is considered a holiday as a full slate of NFL games will be taking place. For fans of the New York Jets, the start of another rollercoaster of a season awaits. Will the Jets really be that bad? Could they muster a few wins this year and play competitive football? Can any of their young players, especially quarterbacks, be a pleasant surprise in 2017?

Your guess is as good as mine but one thing that’s for certain is that there are 16 football games to be played by the Jets and they’ll play hard in every single one of them. There will be no quit in this young team that will do whatever it takes to find consistency and of course, find their identity as they work through early obstacles and rough times.

Head coach Todd Bowles will ensure that this time around, he holds players accountable and runs a tighter ship. With many unproductive and problematic players now gone, he can focus on putting his thumbprint on the roster to ensure players work hard and be professionals off the field.
