As the New York Jets are set to face the Buffalo Bills in Week 1 action, Sports Book Review has Gang Green as early favorites.
It’s a glorious day today as it’s finally a real NFL Sunday! It’s Week 1 of the regular season as a full slate of games awaits the majority of football fans throughout the day and later into tonight. When it comes to the New York Jets, it’s a golden opportunity to silence their critics who have already written them off before having played a single game this season.
At 1:00 p.m. today, the Jets will face the Buffalo Bills on the road and do their best to prove they aren’t the worst team in all of pro football due to having a young roster. Yes, the Jets are rebuilding but make no mistake about it, they will fight and play with pride no matter what team is in front of them.
There is a way the Jets can actually surprise and stun the Bills in front of their home crowd. It’s no secret that the pass defense of the Bills is a stout one but Gang Green has a trio of running backs that if used properly, could keep those chains moving and even score some touchdowns.

With Matt Forte, Bilal Powell, and Elijah McGuire leading the rushing attack, if the Jets can establish a solid ground game and have their defense hold up, they could very well start the season at 1-0 and be, at least for this week, on top of the AFC East.
As per Sports Book Review, the early odds actually favor the Jets at this point in time. They’re +10 points across the spread to beat the Bills and actually prove to the football world that all the negativity and bad press has motivated them to exceed expectations.
Overall, at least for this week, the Jets have a shot at beating the Bills as long as they can get into a rhythm on offense with their ground game and have their defensive line play to their potential. Winning the time of possession battle, racking up sacks, and scoring, even if just field goals, can keep the Jets competitive throughout this matchup.
