The New York Jets end their preseason at home with a Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Entering their final game of the preseason, the New York Jets are 1-2 and have a good idea on which players are worth keeping around for the regular season. Some players are on the roster bubble but at the end of the day, the most important position on the team has been finally addressed.
The Jets have officially announced that Josh McCown will be their starting quarterback to start the regular season. The truth of the matter is, quarterback Christian Hackenberg isn’t ready by any stretch of the imagination to be a starter and Bryce Petty looked promising but is coming off a knee injury from last week’s preseason loss to the New York Giants.
Hopefully, the Jets get a good look at several other positions that need to be addressed ranging from their defensive secondary, offensive line, and even their running back situation. Running back Matt Forte is apparently on the trading block and if the Jets do move him, will continue to head in the right direction when it comes to rebuilding. If Forte is dealt, it would open up more opportunities for Bilal Powell and even Elijah McGuire.
For tonight’s game, if you’re unable to watch on television, check out a free 7-day trial by Fubo.TV since they’ll have this game that works on portable devices as well as your personal computer.
