Get the latest updates from tonight’s preseason Week 3 matchup between the New York Jets and New York Giants.

The MetLife Bowl is finally upon the beautiful city of New York! The New York Jets are the road team as the New York Giants will the home team but it doesn’t make much of a difference since it’s a shared stadium anyway. The annual preseason matchup is all about bragging rights but both teams are unfortunately on opposite ends of the spectrum.

The Jets are a team on the rebuild as things aren’t looking good at all. They’re still searching for answers when it comes to several positions on the team from quarterback, offensive line, linebackers, and everything else in between. The Giants, on the other hand, haven’t won a preseason game yet but are easily a playoff-contending one thanks to their high-octane offense and a superb defense.

Either way, tonight’s matchup should be an interesting one, to say the least. Head coach Todd Bowles will have his Week 1 regular season starting quarterback announced at some point this upcoming week. The quarterbacks playing tonight could very well still be in the hunt as anything can change faster than a New York minute. It’s expected that both Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty will more than likely receive a plethora of playing time against Big Blue.

One positive so far: Matt Forte looking solid.

#Jets go three plays and out on their fourth drive, after Jason Pierre-Paul absolutely mauls Brandon Shell. Bad night for Shell.

Kinda feel bad for Hackenberg, honestly. He’s playing without an OL & less at WR.

— Connor Hughes (@Connor_J_Hughes) August 26, 2017

Josh McCown not getting any pre-game reps. It's all Hackenberg and Petty. Strange QB competition getting stranger. #Jets

— Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) August 26, 2017
