A loyal reader asks who will step up at wide receiver for the New York Jets this upcoming season. Time to analyze over an iced cup of coffee.
If there is anything positive to look forward to this upcoming season when it comes to the New York Jets is how their wide receiver corps will shape up. They have a nice group of young players with a few veterans that by the looks of it, will bring speed and excitement to an offense that lacked it last season.
In case you didn’t know, my Coffee with the Jets series is a fun way to interact with all my loyal readers. I love answering questions right here on The Jet Press via my Twitter account over coffee. Today’s question comes from Isaiah, here is what he asked over Twitter:
@LTJ81 What is the wr depth chart going to look like who do u expect to step up

Thanks for your question, Isaiah! If I had to predict who would step up the most, it easily would be wide receiver Quincy Enunwa. Make no mistake about it, Enunwa will be on pace for a breakout season in 2017.
With Brandon Marshall no longer on the team and the uncertainty that Eric Decker can play all season healthy, Enunwa is in a great situation to really push the envelope. It’s a golden opportunity to solidify himself as a premier receiving option on the Jets and lead the way for years to come.
Besides everything he does on the gridiron, Enunwa is a leader in the locker room and since the Jets have a plethora of younger receiving options, expect to see him do all the little things to get the group ready to make some serious noise.

Overall, expect big things out of Enunwa this upcoming season. Considering last year he totaled 857 receiving yards, 58 receptions, and four touchdowns with how bad the Jets quarterback situation was, this time around, he will total his best season yet since whoever ends up being under center will go to him early and often to win football games.
